June 2024

As I said before, June began with Sam and myself attending a Biblical Worldview Student Conference (BWSC) in East Tennessee with others from our church. It was a refreshing time of soaking up all the biblical teaching from the wonderful speakers, and enjoying the fellowship of other believers. Sam and I were greatly encouraged to see all the other young people, who came from all over the country, who love the Lord and seek His glory!

Sadly, this year our vegetable garden was flooded by heavy rains in May, so we will not be putting up as much food as we did last year. Nevertheless, our orchard has produced abundantly! In addition to our early spring crop of strawberries, we are harvesting blueberries, black currants, blackberries, raspberries, and even a few cherries! We enjoyed a delicious blackberry and blueberry puff with our fresh berries! Dad harvested some winter wheat which was very interesting, and our grape vines are coming along! Mom and I are growing flowers, kitchen herbs, and medicinal herbs in our little flower bed out front. I have especially been enjoying growing and learning more about medicinal herbs with the help of a sweet nearby neighbor that I work for!

While visiting our Papa and Grandma Forssell, the girls and Grandma enjoyed having tea at a tea house in Dahlonega, while the boys and Papa found a baseball field and some ice cream!

The newest addition to our farm is a surprise calf! Unbeknownst to us, our cow was pregnant and gave us a little male calf earlier this month.

We had a visit from the Daltons this month as well! Seeing them again was wonderful!

God has truly blessed us in placing our family where He has. We revel in His majesty and beauty displayed in the creation all around us. I truly believe that we live in the most beautiful place on Earth.

“Oh sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth! Sing to the LORD, bless His name; tell of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength! Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering, and come into his courts! Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth! Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.” Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD, for He comes, for He comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness.” – Psalm 96
